Senior Food Service Worker

WE ARE HIRING Senior Food Service Worker Salary: $22.90 - $25.00 / Hour JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support cafeteria operations by planning menus, preparing meals, and overseeing food service staff and schedules. • Order and receive food and supplies, maintain records, and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP). • Train team members and manage meal tracking, including verifying student eligibility for free and reduced-price meals. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency preferably supplemented by courses in nutrition, record keeping, and bookkeeping. Successful completion of a minimum of three semester units or equivalent of adult school or college-level courses in supervision, or completion of a comparable-sponsored training course in supervision, or the completion of the District’s supervision course is preferable. One year of experience in the coordination of the production of 500 meals a day or the coordination of the work of five food service workers may be substituted for the education or time requirements. Experience: One year of time experience preparing and serving 300+ meals daily, or one year of general clerical experience, preferably in Food Service. Special: Valid “ServSafe Certificate” issued by the National Restaurant Association or equivalent certificate.
