Job description
About the role
The Senior HR Generalist manages key plant-level HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition and performance management, and ensures Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) compliance where applicable. The role extends the HR Manager’s work by aligning and executing priorities, addressing complex employee relations issues, supporting training programs and workforce planning, and serving as a trusted HR partner to employees, supervisors and managers.
Hydro Extrusions is an aluminium extrusion business with around 100 production sites in 40 countries and 20,000 employees. Responsibilities
- Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, conflict resolution and grievance support, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA, EPA requirements, CBAs where applicable, and internal HR policies and processes.
- Oversee workforce planning, partnering with recruiting and leadership to meet staffing needs and support onboarding.
- Drive training and development initiatives, including leadership development, compliance training, job qualification programs and coaching for supervisors.
- Manage performance management cycles for hourly and salaried employees, including data analysis, reporting and calibration support.
