About the role
Albertsons Companies is seeking a leader for its enterprise Produce Quality Control function across its distribution network. Reporting to the Vice President of Produce/Floral Replenishment, this role oversees standards to ensure produce received into distribution centers meets or exceeds procurement specifications for freshness, quality, food safety, temperature, size, condition, and customer readiness.
The role partners with Distribution Center leadership, Procurement, Transportation, Food Safety, Merchandising, and produce suppliers to drive consistent quality standards and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and improve enterprise produce quality standards, inspection procedures, and receiving specifications across distribution centers.
- Oversee receiving quality and ensure consistent execution across facilities.
- Develop quality control processes and coach and develop local Quality Control teams.
- Resolve quality issues with urgency and continuously improve produce quality.
