About the role
Albertsons Companies is seeking a Sr. Manager, Produce Quality Control to lead the enterprise Produce Quality Control function across its distribution network. Reporting to the Vice President of Produce/Floral Replenishment, this leader establishes and oversees standards to ensure produce received into distribution centers meets or exceeds procurement specifications for freshness, quality, food safety, temperature, size, condition, and customer readiness.
The role partners with Distribution Center leadership, Procurement, Transportation, Food Safety, Merchandising, and produce suppliers to drive consistent quality standards across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise produce quality standards, inspection procedures, and receiving specifications across all distribution centers.
- Develop quality control processes and ensure consistent execution across facilities.
- Coach and develop local Quality Control teams.
- Resolve quality issues with urgency and continuously improve produce quality to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
