Job description
About the role
Lyneer has 8 openings for aluminum tack welders on 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexible hours. Weekend work is open. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, and willingness to work 2nd shift in the future is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform tack welds on aluminum cable ladder components.
- Align, fit, and position materials.
- Read and follow work instructions and assembly drawings.
- Inspect parts for proper fit and quality.
- Use measuring tools, including tape measures and gauges.
- Operate hand tools and fabrication equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous welding, manufacturing, construction, or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of welding principles is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read hand tools and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Required PPE: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, welding helmet and gloves, hearing protection, and ear pads.
