Job description
About the role
X-energy is hiring multiple experienced Systems Engineers to support the design, integration, and management of complex nuclear systems throughout their lifecycles. The role executes rigorous systems engineering processes within established model-based systems engineering frameworks to help ensure system components work together effectively and meet project requirements. It focuses on verifying and validating product requirements according to the systems engineering lifecycle process and documenting design decisions and system interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Apply systems thinking and a holistic approach to solve problems and analyze and design systems, considering component interdependencies and interactions.
- Lead and manage systems engineering lifecycle efforts, including stakeholder and operational analysis; requirement identification, decomposition, and management; functional decomposition and modeling; and logical system architecture development and modeling.
- Lead physical product definition, interface management, and change control; design integration and testing; system verification and validation; and concept of operations development and modeling.
- Develop and maintain system behavior models using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools within established Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) frameworks.
