About the role

CNA Insurance seeks an underwriting associate to support the underwriting lifecycle from submission through policy issuance for renewal and new business within limited authority. The role partners with underwriters and provides information to support prudent underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document underwriting risks for renewal and new business within assigned authority and company guidelines.
• Handle endorsement requests within delegated authority and refer requests outside that authority to an underwriter with a recommended action.
• Engage agencies to clarify endorsement intent or obtain missing information.
• Manage assigned renewal accounts within authority, triage applications and specifications, and outline changes or points of attention for accounts outside authority.
• Coordinate with teams across the branch or CNA to resolve issues involving billing and collections, risk control, underwriting guidance, lines of business, and underwriting services subject matter experts.
• Document assigned files for completeness, compliance, and quality.
