Assistant Project Manager

We have an uncompromising commitment to quality, personal service and exemplary craftsmanship.The ideal Assistant Project Manager candidate will have a basic understanding of the technical skills and knowledge of the unique opportunities and challenges that arise in the high-end construction environment. They will also have the professionalism and care to engage in our critical relationships with our clients, partners and in-house team. This position will work closely with the site superintendent as part of the project management team throughout the build process.
Essential duties/responsibilities:Serve as secondary contact with owner, architect, designer and/or building officialsAssist in the development and maintenance of the project schedule, and coordination of field sequencingAssist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers for projectWork with Project Manager to ensure completeness and accuracy of scope in bid packagesCoordinate the review and approval of shop drawings/samples for accuracy and consistency prior to release to clientWork with Project Manager to ensure that all subcontracts, material purchases, submittals, deliveries, clarifications, and changes are processed in time to guarantee project schedule is metAssist Project Manager in effectively resolving client grievances/concernsWork with finance to prepare monthly requisitions, and follow through to paymentEstablish and maintain all project files relating to the subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications and as built documentsClosely tack project costs, and maintain detailed analysis of profitabilityEssential skills/requirements:4 + years’ experience in High-end residential construction management requiredProficient level experience with computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Office and ExcelHighly organized with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectivelyBuilding experience in high end residential market a plusProficient in understanding architectural drawings a plusExcellent analytical, organizational, and managerial skillsStrong interpersonal and oral/written communication skillsHigh attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyBachelor’s degree is a must
