Business Development Specialist

About the role

Latham & Watkins is one of the world’s leading global law firms, advising businesses and institutions that drive the global economy. The Business Development Specialist – Markets supports the Chicago and Latin America markets and works closely with the office BD team, building a strong relationship with the local BD Manager and serving as a trusted resource for partners, counsel, and associates in the assigned office.

The role will be located in either the Chicago or New York office. It may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with local BD Managers to assist in planning, executing, and evaluating business development and marketing initiatives and business plans for the Chicago and Latin America markets.
• Plan and assist with office event initiatives, cross-selling, and client-targeting initiatives related to local markets.
• Work with BD Core, New Business Team, Creative, Events & Sponsorships, Marketing Technology, Library & Research, Alumni, Brand & Communications, and Financial Insights & Consulting to deliver client intelligence, research, pitch information, events, and lawyer materials.
