Buyer Material Planner

About the role

ManpowerGroup Puerto Rico is seeking a Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely procurement and availability of materials required for production. The role involves purchasing, material planning, inventory management, and supplier relationship management within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan material requirements and issue purchase orders to support production schedules and new product launches.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory optimization initiatives.
• Analyze demand forecasts and material requirements through ERP/MRP systems.
• Resolve supply chain issues, supplier constraints, and material shortages through cross-functional collaboration.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain procurement data and planning parameters within ERP systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement/purchasing, supply chain, material planning, inventory management, and vendor management.
• Knowledge of SAP, JDE, or similar ERP systems; MRP (Material Requirements Planning); and Microsoft Excel.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
