Engineering Director, Global Capital and Process Standards

About the role

Ball Corporation is seeking an Engineering Director for Capital and Process Standards to lead on the Global Engineering team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Engineering. The role establishes and deploys standards across Ball’s manufacturing facilities, supporting operational excellence across its global footprint.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy standards for can-making equipment operation, parts and materials, and capital project planning and execution.
• Manage global subject matter experts responsible for process documentation covering can-making technology, direct materials including coatings, utilities, power, civil construction, and wastewater systems.
• Establish standards for the design, installation, startup, and utilization of can lines.
• Coordinate standard plant design for projects ranging from $200 Million (M) to $400M.
• Set standards for capital budgeting and control, and lead governance and processes for accurate cost estimation and budgetary control.
• Coordinate preparation of the annual capital budget for general operations globally, stated as greater than $150M, and track and report on the project portfolio throughout the year.
• Work with Capital Procurement and key suppliers of major capital equipment and services to review standard equipment specifications.
