About the role
Glasshouse Recruiting is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and Unit Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient-care documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain the therapeutic plan and a safe environment free from health hazards.
- Contribute to holistic patient care and promote patients’ overall health and wellbeing.
- Participate in the ward or unit quality improvement programme.
- Attend handover at the commencement of each shift.
- Communicate effectively with patients about their care.
- Refer patient and doctor complaints to the unit sister or charge nurse.
- Complete departmental duties and delegated tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse and applicable health care legislation.
- At least 2 years of ICU/CCU experience in the nursing discipline would be an advantage.
- An elementary course or high care course would be an advantage.
- Computer literacy and flexibility in working hours and shifts.
