Equipment Operator

About the role

Hersh Digging Inc. installs natural gas pipelines and other underground utilities throughout Nebraska using excavation and directional boring methods. The role involves working around heavy equipment and contributing on the ground and in the operator’s seat when needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to underground utility construction using excavation and directional boring methods.
• Work on the ground and operate equipment when needed.

Requirements

• Equipment operating experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience pulling and backing trailers is required.
• A good driving record is required, and applicants must be insurable.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• A Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
• Applicants should be reliable, dependable, accountable, and able to work well as part of a crew.
• Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in required random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Qualified applicants must pass reference and background checks.
