About the role
The Graduate Respiratory Care Practitioner is an entry-level clinical role for new graduate respiratory therapists at Central Maine Medical Center. Under the direction of a licensed physician and departmental leadership, the practitioner provides basic respiratory care and supports patients with cardiopulmonary disorders while progressing toward full licensure and independent practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic respiratory care procedures.
- Participate in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Support safe, high-quality, evidence-based care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Eligible to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care credentialing exams.
- Holds a Temporary Respiratory Therapist License.
