Key ResponsibilitiesManaging general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and assisting with audits and compliance requirements. Analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and recommending improvements to accounting procedures and controls. Collaborate with internal teams and clients, providing clear financial insights and supporting decision-making.CompetenciesStrong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for multiple entities or clients.Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in spreadsheets and other productivity tools.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and audit processes.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).Ability to work on-site in San Juan or at client site, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.Experience with insurance, public accounting, consulting, or working with diverse business clients is a plus.Professional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and interest in contributing to a growing boutique firm.
