About the role
General Motors is seeking an ECU Hardware Safety Analysis Engineer to perform circuit-level safety analysis for in-house developed ECUs used in high Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) applications. The analysis supports System Safety Case development for ECUs within Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) electrical architecture technologies.
The team performs safety analysis within an ECU design responsible organization, delivering work products to the System Functional Safety organization to support the overall system safety case and ECU safety goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform ECU, sub-component and circuit-level safety analysis tasks supporting various SDV ECUs.
- Assist in developing internal analysis approaches and procedures for in-house electronics-designed ECUs.
- Provide mentoring to more junior engineers.
Requirements
- Previous experience with circuit-level safety analysis.
- Technical proficiency to perform ECU, sub-component and circuit-level safety analysis.
- Ability to drive innovation, facilitate effective communication and address systemic challenges.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities, business intuition, learning agility and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
