About the role
Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to work at a leading biotech organization in Gurabo, PR. The Primary Container Technical Owner will serve as the technical subject matter expert for primary packaging systems, supporting transfers, packaging operations, investigations, change management, validation activities, and material specification management while ensuring compliance, product quality, and supply continuity.
Responsibilities
- Support site-to-site transfers and packaging operations.
- Support investigations, change management, validation activities, and material specification management.
- Ensure compliance, product quality, and supply continuity.
- Provide occasional after-hours engineering coverage as required to support 24/7 operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, including Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, medical device, consumer health, or related regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in pharmaceutical primary packaging, packaging technology transfer activities, process validation, and quality systems.
- Strong background in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA development.
- Experience with change control processes and risk assessment methodologies.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
