About the role
LUMA Energy seeks to oversee the full lifecycle of federally funded grants, ensuring compliant execution, accurate documentation, and sound financial management. The role supports organizational objectives by validating eligibility, maximizing cost recovery, and maintaining continuous audit readiness through coordination across operational, financial, and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and implement solutions that improve compliance, documentation quality, and cost recovery for federally funded grants.
- Monitor compliance and evaluate processes, identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and drive improvements aligned with federal requirements and organizational standards.
- Develop and deliver training, coaching, and advisory support to improve stakeholder understanding, documentation quality, and consistent application of best practices.
- Set up federally funded projects in ERP systems, establish cost-tracking structures, and ensure expenditures meet eligibility, documentation, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), and company requirements.
- Analyze expenditures, review variances, reconcile obligations against claimed amounts, and validate reimbursement requests to maximize federal recovery.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, operations, procurement, contractors, and accounting teams to gather records, maintain audit-ready repositories, and support appeals, funds certifications, project scope review, project versioning, and closeout submissions.
- Interpret federal program policies, improve workflows, provide compliance training, and stay current on FEMA and federal grant requirements.
