Advanced Practice Nurse – Hematology/Oncology | Hinsdale, IL

HOPE & HEALING CANCER SERVICES is seeking an in-person Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to support hematology and oncology care in Hinsdale and New Lenox, Illinois. This full-time role focuses on high-quality care for cancer patients and their families, in collaboration with physicians and the broader healthcare team. The APN must be able to prescribe medications independently and hold a DEA registration for controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat hematology and oncology conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical examinations; document findings and develop treatment plans in partnership with the care team.
• Support improved patient outcomes and quality of care for patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Apply knowledge of pharmacology, palliative care, and end-of-life care in clinical practice.
• Engage with patients for 30–40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an accredited advanced practice nursing program.
• Illinois Nurse Practitioner license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation before hire.
• DEA registration and controlled substance certification.
• Current BLS and CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, palliative care, and end-of-life care.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Schedule and Locations

• Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• In person in Hinsdale, IL 60521 and New Lenox, IL 60451.
