Accountant

Tasks

• Support public-sector budgeting and financial planning.
• Prepare financial reports for the HART Board, State Auditor, and federal and state grants.
• Review, analyze, and interpret fiscal records.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and documentation.
• Interpret governmental accounting laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Coordinate with public officials, senior managers, and external organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations.
• Experience with public-sector budgets and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel, Word, data-entry, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Must live within 30 miles of the Tampa work location.
• Level 1 background screening, including a seven-year criminal background check.
• Successful completion of a 5-panel drug screening.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM or 8 AM–5 PM
• At least 30 days, with potential extension
• Onsite
• Contract
• W2 or 1099 (No C2C)
