Job Overview
ENT MATRIX is seeking a Computer Programmer for a full-time, long-term position in Irving, Texas. The programmer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain applications, including systems built with legacy technology. This role works with application teams and business partners to deliver solutions that meet functional and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review the Application Team's work plan and provide status updates and delivery estimates to the Team Lead.
- Participate in requirements-gathering sessions.
- Design and develop applications based on specifications and defined interfaces.
- Ensure application work aligns with functional and technical requirements.
- Explain complex technical concepts to business partners.
- Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks.
- Address inaccurate or infeasible requirements and solutions.
- Maintain applications built with legacy technology.
- Manage time effectively, work independently or collaboratively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Java and JavaScript.
- Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and take direction from business and functional stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on technical design experience with large enterprise systems.
- Ability to recommend best practices based on industry standards.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
