Cyber Security Engineer

Tasks

• Lead cybersecurity activities for aerospace and avionics programs.
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Support secure software development, code signing, cryptography, and secure boot.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and cybersecurity testing.
• Define security measures for embedded systems, controllers, and aircraft platforms.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace and federal cybersecurity standards.
• Review customer requirements, RFIs/RFQs, and support proposal development.
• Collaborate with customers, federal contractors, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall cybersecurity engineering experience.
• 3+ years of aerospace cybersecurity experience.
• Strong experience in aerospace threat modeling and risk assessments.
• Embedded Systems Security and Hardware Security.
• Cryptography, Code Signing, and Secure Boot.
• Vulnerability Management and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Root of Trust concepts.
• Knowledge of DO-326A /ED-202A, DO-356A, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and FIPS 140-3.
• Experience with ITAR-controlled or federal aerospace programs.
• Preferred: Experience with FAA, DoD, defense, or commercial aerospace programs.
• Preferred: Knowledge of aircraft control systems, avionics, and aerospace hardware security architectures.
