Database Software Engineer

Tasks

• Develop software components for database-backed applications.
• Improve data storage, retrieval and query-processing efficiency.
• Build and test backend services that interact with large datasets.
• Investigate performance issues and troubleshoot software defects.
• Contribute to reliable distributed-system components.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and software design discussions.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years
• Target candidates: December 2026 and 2027 graduates, including candidates with relevant academic projects or internship experience
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java, C++ or Python
• SQL and relational database concepts
• Data structures and algorithms
• Database indexing and query optimization fundamentals
• Operating systems and computer networking basics
• Understanding of distributed systems is an advantage
• Candidates must currently reside in the United States.
• CPT applicants must have prior DSO authorization for the specific opportunity and remain eligible under their academic program.
• OPT applicants must have valid employment authorization, with work directly related to their qualifying degree.
