We are working with an innovative global technology company developing advanced solutions at the intersection of embedded systems, IoT, electric vehicles, and next-generation charging technology.
They are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing U.S. engineering team. This is a highly hands-on position for an engineer who enjoys working across the full embedded software stack—from low-level firmware and hardware integration to embedded applications, networking, diagnostics, and system-level development.
The ideal candidate is proactive, technically curious, excited by innovation and sustainability, and comfortable taking ownership of complex engineering challenges.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for advanced connected hardware systems.Work on complex embedded systems projects requiring creative and innovative technical solutions.Develop a deep understanding of system architecture and the interaction between hardware and software components.Develop embedded software including board configuration, board bring-up, device drivers, runtime diagnostics, networking, and user-space applications.Take ownership of the full device software lifecycle, from low-level drivers and diagnostics through embedded applications, business logic, networking, and configuration management.Partner closely with hardware engineers on new board and system bring-up.Troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues.Evaluate hardware architectures, review schematics and board layouts, and assess third-party chipsets from a software perspective.Develop engineering, diagnostic, inspection, and automation tools.Design and execute software and hardware test systems.Develop and integrate industry-standard communication interfaces with external systems and technology partners.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Strong embedded software development experience.Fluency in C and C++.Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to develop robust, maintainable software.Experience working with embedded hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, PWM, UART, USB, ADC, DAC, Ethernet, and/or Modbus.Experience working throughout the product development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, configuration management, and troubleshooting.Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software integration issues.Experience developing software or automation tools using Python.Ability to take ownership of projects and drive assignments through completion.Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3+ years of professional embedded software development experience is preferred; however, candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong technical aptitude and relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
