Job description
NYTP is hiring a contract Hardware Test Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this on-site role, you will validate the functionality, quality, and robustness of hardware components for innovative technology projects. You will report to the Lead Hardware Engineer and work closely with design, development, software, and quality assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct white box testing to evaluate hardware functionality and robustness.
- Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for hardware components.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to define test requirements and achieve comprehensive coverage.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports on findings, issues, and recommendations.
- Support debugging by sharing technical insights and collaborating on solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and process changes.
- Communicate testing progress and challenges during team meetings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field from an ABET-accredited university.
- Proficiency in white box testing methodologies.
- Experience with hardware testing tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Two or more years of experience in hardware testing or a related field preferred.
