Key Account Manager

About the role

Movement Search & Delivery is working with a Tier I automotive supplier to identify and evaluate a Key Account Manager. The position is based in the metro Detroit area and offers an opportunity for continued advancement.

Responsibilities

• Identify new opportunities for business sales with existing and new customers.
• Manage multiple customer accounts with the same product types to pursue growth opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain annual sales forecasts and monthly status reports for assigned accounts.
• Maintain direct contact with customer engineering, product development, and purchasing organizations to support participation in new programs.
• Provide customer service for issues involving delivery, product quality, payments, product design, and pricing.
• Update management on account risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to mitigate risks and pursue opportunities.
• Participate in developing long-term objectives, strategies, goals, and plans.
• Achieve or exceed sales and profit margin goals and objectives.
• Coordinate product development and launches with engineering to ensure products meet customer expectations, specifications, and timing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Account Manager and/or Sales Engineer.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Customer experience with OEMs and/or Tier I suppliers.
• Experience with metals processing or metals-related products is a plus.
