Key Account Manager

Movement Search & Delivery is working with a Tier I automotive supplier to identify and evaluate a Key Account Manager. This is a hybrid position and it is based in the metro Detroit area.
What You Will Do:
· Identify new opportunities to convert into new business sales for both existing and new customers.· Manage multiple customer accounts with the same product types to capitalize on potential growth opportunities.· Prepare and maintain annual sales forecasts and monthly status reports for assigned accounts.· Maintain direct contact and interfaces with customer engineering, product development, and purchasing organizations to ensure participation in new programs.· Provide exceptional customer service dealing with issues including but not limited to delivery, product quality, payments, product design, and pricing.· Update management regarding account risks and opportunities recommending actions to mitigate risk and exploit opportunities.· Participate in the development of long-term objectives including the development of strategies, goals, and plans.· Achieve or exceed sales and profit margin goals and objectives.· Coordinate product development and launches working with engineering to ensure new products meet customer expectations, specifications, and timing requirements.

What You Need to Succeed:
* Bachelors degree* 3+ years experience as an Account Manager and/or Sales Engineer* Experience in the automotive industry* Customer experience with the OEMs and/or Tier I suppliers* Experience with metals processing / metals-related products is a plus
