Job description
Itechus is hiring a contract Lab Support Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This on-site role is suited to a technical support professional with laboratory experience who can keep equipment, software, and lab workflows operating reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to laboratory personnel and help ensure reliable operation of laboratory equipment and software.
- Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GxP).
- Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize laboratory downtime.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Maintain accurate records, including incident reports and equipment maintenance logs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to assess and improve laboratory workflows and protocols.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting laboratory operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent experience in a technical support role, preferably in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of GMP and GxP requirements.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and LIMS software.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
