Job description
Veridian Tech Solutions, Inc is looking for a skilled Lead PHP-Laravel Developer to join our team in New Haven, Connecticut. This contract role offers a chance to lead development projects and mentor junior developers within a fast-growing tech company. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP and Laravel frameworks. Optimize database queries and structures to ensure high performance and scalability. Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality. Integrate and manage Elastic Search to enhance application search capabilities and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in software development. Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 5 years of experience in PHP and Laravel development. Proficiency with Elastic Search integration in web applications. Experience using version control systems such as Git. Strong understanding of web application security best practices. Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
