Job description
Veridian Tech Solutions, Inc is hiring a Lead PHP-Laravel Developer for a contract position in New Haven, Connecticut. This on-site role offers the opportunity to lead development work and mentor junior developers while building and improving web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Build and optimize database queries and structures to support application performance and scalability.
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to help maintain code quality.
- Integrate and manage Elasticsearch to enhance application functionality and performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet user needs.
- Mentor junior developers and share software development best practices.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of PHP and Laravel development experience.
- Proficiency with Elasticsearch in web development.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding of web application security practices.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Agile development experience is a plus.
