Job description
Veridian Tech Solutions, Inc is seeking a skilled Lead PHP-Laravel Developer for a contract role based in New Haven, Connecticut. Join our innovative tech company and lead the development of high-quality web applications while mentoring junior developers in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP and Laravel frameworks. Optimize database queries and structures to enhance application performance and scalability. Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices. Integrate and manage Elastic Search to improve application functionality and search performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective software solutions. Mentor junior developers, promoting software development best practices and continuous learning. Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development. Proficiency with Elastic Search integration and usage in web applications. Experience with Git version control system. Strong understanding of web application security principles. Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred. Experience working in Agile development environments is a plus. This is an on-site contract position located in New Haven, Connecticut. Remote work is not eligible for this role.
