Job description
A-Power, Inc. is hiring a field-based HVAC Product Technical Support Specialist in Syracuse, New York. In this hands-on role, you will provide on-site technical support, training, and troubleshooting for HVAC dealers and contractors across Upstate New York.
Represent A-Power and its leading HVAC brands while helping partners deliver successful installations and reliable system performance. This is a field role for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys diagnosing equipment, training installers, and solving practical technical challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Provide on-site support for dealers and contractors, including system commissioning, installation reviews, and troubleshooting.
- Lead dealer training sessions, product demonstrations, and technical workshops.
- Support warranty evaluations by inspecting equipment and documenting product or installation issues.
- Partner with the sales team on technical accuracy, product rollouts, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a field resource for HVAC systems, controls, and connected equipment.
- Gather installer feedback and share insights with engineering and product development teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Three to five years of HVAC installation, service, or technical support experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of residential and light commercial systems, including heat pumps, air handlers, furnaces, and controls.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to teach, troubleshoot, and support contractors in the field.
- Comfort traveling to dealer and contractor sites across Upstate New York.
Compensation and Employment
Pay: $75,000 per year. This is a full-time, non-remote field position based in Syracuse, NY.
