Job Description:*
We are seeking a *Mid-Level QA Lead / QA Analyst* with strong experience in healthcare payer systems, API testing, and EDI transaction validation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of healthcare integrations, data exchanges, and end-to-end business workflows.
*Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:*
- 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance, including healthcare application testing.- Strong knowledge of *healthcare payer systems*, including claims, enrollment, eligibility, and provider data.- Hands-on experience testing *REST/SOAP APIs* using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.- Strong understanding of *EDI X12 transactions*, including 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277.- Experience validating EDI file structures, mappings, acknowledgments, and transaction processing.- Knowledge of *HIPAA compliance, HL7, and FHIR standards*.- Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases.- Validate API request/response payloads, JSON/XML data, authentication, and error handling.- Perform backend data validation using *SQL queries*.- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM.- Coordinate testing activities, track defects, and provide QA status updates to project stakeholders.- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and integration teams to resolve issues.- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Experience with API automation using Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman/Newman.- Familiarity with healthcare integration platforms and ETL testing.- Experience mentoring junior QA testers or coordinating small QA teams.
*Education:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
