Job description
About the role
Dynapar Corporation is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering activities that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall production performance. The role supports existing manufacturing processes, drives continuous improvement, leads equipment and process improvement projects, and provides technical direction for production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams. The position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and serves as a technical leader within the manufacturing engineering group.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering support for assigned production cells, product lines, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, improve first-pass yield, and reduce manufacturing cost.
- Support daily production by troubleshooting equipment, process, tooling, fixture, and quality-related issues.
- Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects, customer escapes, scrap, rework, and process failures.
- Support new product introductions, product transfers, engineering changes, and production readiness activities.
- Partner with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Lead or support capital equipment projects, including equipment justification, specification, vendor selection, installation, qualification, training, and production launch.
- Improve labor routings, standard work, cycle times, and manufacturing documentation to support accurate costing and production planning.
- Support ERP/JDE-related manufacturing data needs, including routings, work centers, item setup, and process documentation as required.
