CAD Designer

Tasks

• Develop and update 2D/3D as-built models of hulls, legs/columns, main decks, topsides, and accommodation.
• Work with laser-scan point clouds for brownfield modeling, where available.
• Prepare removal and demolition drawings for drilling equipment, including derricks, cantilevers, drill floors, mud and bulk systems, and pipe racks.
• Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings and overall plot plans.
• Prepare hazardous-area classification drawings.
• Develop escape and evacuation routes, muster areas, lifeboat/liferaft layouts, and firewater/deluge coverage layouts.
• Prepare module support, skid footprint, and structural interface drawings.
• Perform clash checks and participate in 30/60/90% model reviews with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with company, client, class (ABS, DNV, BV, LR), and flag-state requirements.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and document transmittals.
• Support shipyard/offshore site surveys, dimensional checks, and construction activities.

Requirements

• 10+ Years
• Diploma, HND, or degree in Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, or equivalent drafting qualification.
• 10+ years of CAD design experience on offshore projects.
• Minimum 2 years of layout/GA experience on MODUs, FPSOs, MOPUs, or fixed platforms.
• Hands-on experience with at least one jackup or semi-submersible conversion, life extension, or major upgrade project.
