About the role

Pre-Construction Project Managers shape how clients experience Samet before construction begins. They coordinate professional design services, develop cost estimates from conceptual through contract stages, lead value engineering, and manage design and bidding to turn ideas and budgets into buildable, fundable projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate professional design services and the design process.
• Build conceptual-through-contract cost estimates and budgets.
• Run value engineering, bidder solicitation, and the bidding process.
• Manage constructability, client presentations, and project turnover.
• Mentor the team delivering the preconstruction experience.
• Depending on level, negotiate professional service agreements, develop schedules, lead sales presentations, and manage design coordination and risk.

Requirements

• Pre-Con Project Manager I: Typically 2–4 years of related experience. Estimating software (MC²/Sage) and Primavera familiarity are valued. Duties include take-offs, estimates, designer coordination, bidder solicitation, and proposal support.
• Pre-Con Project Manager II: Typically 8–12 years of related experience. Leads comprehensive preconstruction services end to end, including professional service agreements, budgets, schedules, sales presentations, design coordination, and risk.
• Scope is aligned to experience. The posting also includes a Senior level.
