Expanding Charlotte corporate office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance and accounting team. You will be instrumental in driving accurate financial reporting, leading month-end close activities, improving processes, and delivering meaningful financial insights that support key business decisions.

ResponsibilitiesLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activitiesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsAnalyze financial information to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysesEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controlsSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanationsPrepare reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc) timely and accuratelyPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysesMonitor and improve accounting processes and proceduresMentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracyCollaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting issues and improve financial reporting
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field3+ years of general accounting experienceExcellent time management, organizational and planning skills, with attention to detailStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsRequires excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft and Excel
