Senior Bridge Project Engineer

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bridge Sr. Project Engineer for its Indiana Transportation Team. The role involves a variety of projects for INDOT, local municipalities, and county clients across Indiana, with opportunities to collaborate with bridge design experts across several states. Responsibilities

• Lead projects with complex features, with work performed directly or by others.
• Use creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve new problems.
• Set priorities and reconcile directions from competing interests.
• Integrate engineering economics and risk analysis into solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Integrate solutions to complex problems across specialty areas and demonstrate leadership.
• Frequently develop standards and guidelines and lead projects in the area of specialization.
• Develop design alternatives for complex engineering projects that consider requirements, constraints, community input, permitting, and other regulatory constraints.
• Oversee large or multidiscipline project teams and recommend personnel and funds required to carry out projects.

Requirements

• 16+ years of experience.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering; a master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with reciprocity in multiple states.
• Driver’s license.
• Hard-working, able to work in a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
