Manager - Finance

THE ROLE:
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Oversee impairment calculations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the timely submission of CBSL returns and other statutory reports.
• Manage all tax-related matters, including tax computations and the submission of returns within stipulated deadlines.
• Prepare and review Management Information System (MIS) reports, financial ratios, and annual budgets.
• Support senior management in decision-making through the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information for internal and external reporting purposes.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

THE PERSON & SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
• Full/ partial qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or CMA.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Finance or Banking industry. At least 1 year of experience in a managerial position.
• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in IFRS 9 impairment and CBSL reporting.
• Hands-on experience in handling tax-related matters.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills, with the ability to lead teams and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer skills.
