Auto Shop Inc is hiring a full-time Automotive Shop Service Manager in Chicago, Illinois. This on-site leadership role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who can keep a fast-paced repair shop running efficiently while supporting technicians, service advisors, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations and ensure work is completed efficiently and meets customer expectations.
- Lead automotive technicians and service advisors, providing guidance and support to strengthen team performance.
- Build customer relationships and respond to questions and concerns to improve the service experience.
- Monitor inventory and order parts to support uninterrupted shop operations.
- Coordinate schedules to balance technician workloads and improve repair turnaround times.
- Lead staff meetings to share updates and encourage collaboration.
- Review performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Clear customer communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Team leadership or management experience, preferably in automotive service.
- Familiarity with automotive systems and repair processes preferred.
- Proficiency with service management software and tools.
- Two to five years of relevant automotive service management experience.
Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $70,000 per year. This is a full-time, on-site position in Chicago, IL.
